Adjustable seat?

Well took the "new to me" class 11 out yesterday (thanks Bob!) for a very "short" ride.

I am short legged and will need to move the seat forward a bit.

What do you guys think about making it adjustable?

What is the best way to do it.

My father and probably other drivers are surely to have longer legs than I.

You will all think its funny that I could not figure out how to fasten the shoulder straps! So I just used the lap part!

we made two racks, one for each side of the seat, and just drilled out 3 different holes so u can unbolt the 4 bolts from the seat to the mounts then push/slide the seat forward or back to the next hole then just throw the bolt in. (we welded the nuts to the inside of each hole to make it easier)

Do you have a pic?

THe problem with that I have is there is not room to do that quickly at a race. I can barely get my arm under the seat to get to the right rear corner of the seat.

What do you guys think of cutting one out of a car or truck at the junk yard?

They are made to withstand high speed wrecks. So I am thinking one could be beefed up enough to use in a Class 11. I mean stock seats are legal right?

Looks like they will be the ticket if I do not find a good junk yard one.

We have both seat on adjustable tracks. Also makes it easier to get to the battery.

I have those adjusters in my car but not the stands. Didnt like how thin the stand was. I made my own out of 1 inch tubing and a couple of tabs. Tubing runs from the cage floor rail to the tunnel. We will see how long it lasts until the flex breaks it.

As for the adjusters we even raced them in the old class one trophy limo prerunner with a 400lb+ crew member with no issues, the seat on the other hand broke.
