Hi,

before starting with the roll cage, which spots should I reinforce on the floor pan?

- full welding of the the head welds
- full welding of the horn sides
...

Do I need to reinforce the rear torsion housing, too? Is an adjuster needed?

thanks,
Marcus

Yes, re-welding the frame head and horns. A torsion adjuster should be added, most use a Sway-A-Way "King Kong". Some that have not added an adjuster but changed out the torsion bars to 27mm or 28mm have had the factory torsion housing strip out while racing.

good info, thanks. I found 40 and 44 Tooth. I think stock is 40. Is it o.k. to go race with stock torsion bars?

I am no expert, perhaps with the right shock set up, and limited travel, maybe. Most seem to use 300m steel in in the following sizes, 26, 27, 28 MM. I think that stock size is 23MM.
A front mounted fuel tank would favor the smaller rear bars. We run a rear fuel cell and have 28MM bars. If we were going to do in again most likely would go with 27MM
Hopefully DaveCo or Robert Johnson will add their advise as they run stock fuel tank setups.

I see. I have to change that, too. But for the beginning I will keep the stock ones. This can be done when almost finished.
