Can anyone share how they build their rear skid plates. The one that came on our car must weigh 100lbs and is definitely over kill. How are you guys running tubes back from the motor tranny mount, and how are you terminating them at the back of the car?

Ours is 1/4" thick aluminum. Its huge and heavy.

But looking at the damage it takes, Im glad I have it!

I don't think you can overkill it with the rear skid pan.

Our skid plate lasted 3 years, but the last SF250 just destroyed it. We're going DirtDgr's route with a 1/4", 6061 grade. One thing we've learned,,,have the rear in two sections, Transmission and Motor. We had just one plate that covered everything, and man, what a pain. I can take some pic's of ours if you'd like and send it to ya. Our fab guy does good work.
