Teutonic4me created the topic: Backing plates and brakes
Class 11 disciples: Is it legal or kosher to re-drill and rotate the backing plates on the brakes to move the wheel cylinder and thus the "hose" up out of the way of things that like to tear them off? I see lots of photos of braided lines, but braided or not, anything that catches on them just leaves expensive parts laying in the dust.
Also, can you either replace or reinforce the tie rods with something mo' betta? Obviously, I still haven't gotten my rule book yet.....

You can take your old sway bar and cut into lengths that will slip in to the tie rods. Makes them very strong, but, they will still bend! Hard to believe that large diameter of spring will bent like that, but....
