Read this in RaceDez site:

To all who concern, effective for the 1600cc engine classes.

"Classes 1-2 1600, 5-1600,15 (who its all sportman 5-16,9 and 11) and Pro11, will be allowed to use optional engine formula with 1600cc maximum displacement and an 8.0 compression ratio maximum, stock replacement heads with no porting may be used.
Following the same valve and spark plug dimensions as the current rule.
Stock end castings must be stock with no polishing allowed.
Empi or Webber 40 or 44 carb may be used and any intake manifold may be used.

Class 5-1600 and 11 must use a 26mm PUM venturi maximum,
Class 1-2-1600 must use a 25mm Pum venturi maximum for two seat and 24mm PUM venturi for single seat. Any type fuel allowed. (race or pump) "

IT basically says the original rules of head clean up, no open compression is the law. It will be a lot harder to get those hills

The way i read it is this in an option.

Also with the big carb, i hear we could get a good bit more horse power and be able to run pump gas.

So what makes more power? what climbs a hill better?
1) stock carb, stock manifold with high compression and race gas
(or)
2) big carb, big intake, low compression, pump gas?
Does anyone out there know?
